A Main Street Celebration of Bay City Native, Forrest Clemenger Bess, designer of camouflage. The event includes wine and wild game tastings, craft beer, live entertainment and downtown shopping.

DAY OF THE DEAD FESTIVAL

Hosted by Bay City Tourism Council, this festival includes live music, food and culture. It celebrates the diverse community we know and love.

The Bay City Lion’s Club Rice Festival celebrates the agricultural accomplishments of rice farmers whose history stretches back to 1899 in Matagorda County. Since 1945, the Bay City Lion’s Club has sponsored a four-day Rice Festival with carnival rides, a concert, rice dish competitions, a Rice Queen and Court, and a parade.

Experience good old-fashioned Texas fun at this long-running county fair. Featuring the PRCA rodeo, live country entertainment, cook-offs, carnival rides, and food, there’s plenty of engaging activities for all ages to enjoy.

The annual Seafood Festival is a fundraising event that supports our schools, fire department, and other local charities. The festival includes live music, vendors, contests, a live auction, and, of course, a great seafood feast harvested from local waters.

A surprise country headliner every August benefiting community service projects and college scholarships.

TEXAS PADDLERS’ RALLY ON THE RIVER

Every spring, Riverside Park in Bay City comes alive with boating enthusiasts from all over who grab their kayaks, canoes, rafts, and rowboats to join a float trip down the Colorado River. The event also includes live music and kids’ events in the park.
