Façade Grant
The purpose of the BCCDC façade grant is to serve as an arm of our Business Retention and Expansion mission as set forth in our Goal Setting Sessions, to create a more attractive community by encouraging visually appealing physical and structural improvements to local current and future business establishments, to promote the restoration of dilapidated buildings in areas that are not covered under Main Street grant program, and to encourage the redevelopment of existing commercial buildings increasing retail options for the citizens of Bay City.
This reimbursable grant is available in amounts up to $5,000.00 matching depending on the business’s needs. Applications will be considered in the order they are received. One grant per business, per fiscal cycle.
Website Grant
The BCCDC Website Grant is available to assist businesses in constructing a website for online presence OR improve an existing website for increased online visibility. Ideally, the website would improve commerce, expand the sales area of the business, and generally establish more of an online presence with the overreaching goal of e-commerce.
This reimbursable grant is available in amounts up to $5,000.00 depending on the business’s needs. Applications will be considered in the order they are received. One grant per business. Preference will be given to applicants that utilized local vendors.
BCCDC Continued Education (CE) Grant
The BCCDC CE Grant is available to assist businesses with investment in their staff. Ideally, the businesses would further the knowledge base of their employees by sending them to continuing education classes, further development, in-office training, or cross-training seminars. It is the goal of the CDC to help each employee reach their potential in their given field of work therefore helping to solidify the business’s footprint in Bay City. Funds may be used for travel, training, or lodging for either the staffer or presenter.
The reimbursable grant is available in amounts up to $500.00 depending on the business’s needs. No more than 3 applicants (employees) or 1 applicant (onsite/trainer) per business per year. Applications will be considered in the order they are received.
BCCDC Advertisement Grant
The BCCDC Advertisement Grant is available to further advance your business’s footprint in Bay City and beyond. Most everyone utilizes some form of social media to increase visibility and sales. Knowing this, the CDC wants to help your business. Fifteen to thirty (15-30) second video commercials have been scientifically proven to increase your business’s viability on social media. It is the goal of the CDC to help each Bay City business reach this potential. Funds may be used for professional video content services.
This reimbursable grant is available in amounts up to $500.00 depending on the business’s needs. No more than 1 per business. Applications will be considered in the order they are received.
